Devblog #1: November news.

Welcome to our first devblog! This is super important, and honestly, we should have done it sooner. We have a lot of projects in the works, and we haven’t been sharing these with our followers; it might look like we’re not doing anything!

Better late than never, so here’s the latest news for this November. First up: we’re finally going to present our video game Human Reality on November 29-30 and December 1 at the Saló del Gaming SAGA, held at La Farga (Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona)! We’ll be giving talks and handing out early access keys to everyone who signs up for the game’s newsletter. Plus, we’ll have demo sessions of the game so people without VR headsets can try the BETA.

After SAGA, we’ll be heading to the VAG in Amposta (Tarragona) from December 5 to 8, but we’ll share more about that later.

What are we working on right now?

We’re fixing bugs and finishing updates for Human Reality, which has been on “standby” for over six months. We’ve updated it to the latest Meta SDK v69, which broke some scripts, but it wasn’t too dramatic.

We’re also going to officially launch Tió Simulator on the Meta Horizon Store for free this Christmas 2024. The game is almost two years old, so it also needed some updates. We’ll be adding multi-language support and enhancing the UI, which was pretty basic before.

On the hardware side, we’re preparing a sensory experience suitable only for the brave! You probably didn’t know we’re experimenting with hardware too—more on that in a future post. The VR device software felt limited, so we’re thrilled to be developing our own “assets” using Arduino. We’ll showcase this at SAGA, but here’s a sneak peek.

This is likely the most unstructured post we’ll ever publish, but we’ll get better! See you in the next one!
