One of the things we love most about Virtual Reality is the interactivity. We are huge fans of the “Job Simulator” series by Owlchemy Labs, which inspired us to create our own game, “Human Reality.” In our quest to offer experiences with a similar level of immersion, we came across “New Folder Games,” a studio that has developed titles like “I am Cat” and “I am Security,” among others. Their games are highly interactive, with everyday themes taken to the extreme, making them go viral. “I Am Security,” as the name suggests, puts you in the shoes of a nightclub bouncer. It may sound simple, but the brilliance lies in its humor and gameplay mechanics: repetitive and inevitably prone to mistakes, much like “Papers, Please.” These games simulate mundane jobs, but from a humorous perspective, turning routine situations into hilarious experiences.
We love their approach and can’t stop playing it and drawing inspiration from it. Finally, a worthy competitor to “Job Simulator” and even ourselves. This is the attitude we believe should prevail in Virtual Reality development: it’s not about creating the perfect simulation, but about prioritizing gameplay and fun. What do you think?
